Seven members had challenging weather conditions in which to attempt the seven summits on 6 October: rain and mist from the start and all the way up Porcupine Ravine. We then encountered a cold southerly wind on top that tested our resilience! With some frozen fingers and leaking rain jackets we limped home to the MCSA Table Mountain Hut to enjoy an overdue tea break after bagging Blinkwater Peak and St Michael’s Peak. Our return route was via Kasteelspoort. The challenge of climbing the seven highest summits on Table Mountain in a day will be tackled again in better weather conditions!
