We had very hot conditions in which to hike that meant many stops along the way! However after tea in a shady cave on ‘Junction ledge’ we were ready for the scramble and hike across the top to the summit. The views as always were captivating but we needed to escape the heat so we dropped down to Junction cave and enjoyed a well earned rest. Our return route was along the aqueduct with many disas still in bloom. We descended Skeleton Gorge and were back at the cars at about 3.30 pm.
