Those present left Muizenberg train station at 09h50, walking along the coast, under blue and sunny skies, past St. James to Kalk Bay where we visited the second-hand shop next to the train station, and Quagga antiquarian books. Thence along the road south of Kalk Bay, rejoining the coastal path after the last house, between the road and railway to Fish Hoek. It is interesting to note that since Clovelly train station was demolished, there is an unobstructed footpath all the way. At Fish Hoek was held a tea stop, after which we continued along the Jager path towards Glencairn. At 13hoo the rains came down, so Kobus kindly took us to his home for tea, coffee and rusks. The rain continued so we took the next train back to Muizenberg.
