We were rewarded with wonderful views from the peak, enhanced by the swirling clouds around us. The early starting time did not deter the group of 15 hikers that assembled at 6.30am with cloud that threatened to deny us the views we were hoping for at the top. We made good time and were on the Peak at 9.00am and miraculously, the cloud broke sufficiently for us to get glimpses of the distant views. The hour that we spent enjoying our tea and soaking up the splendour of mountain and sea views soon passed by, and it was time to descend. Needless to say that as we descended, the cloud once again covered the peak! We were back at the cars at 10.00am, suitably charged and ready to enjoy the rest of the day with family and friends.
