After a gap of 5 months since the last MCSA hike in March, before ‘lockdown’, 9 members ventured out to once more experience our mountains around us. We had a wind free day after a prolonged wet spell that provided a taste of varying hiking conditions of sunshine and thick mist. It was refreshing to be able to enjoy our mountain with acquaintances that we had not see for a long time and share ‘lockdown’ experiences. We chose tea and lunch stops with fine views and thankfully sunshine for both. We returned via Alfies Track and marvelled at the many waterfalls that we encountered along the way. Being a relatively small group we were back at our cars by 3pm, feeling suitably recharged and ready for what lies ahead in this Covid 19 journey that we all face.
