The spectacular traverse was reached via Yellow Stone Gully with a brief visit to Andre’s Cave.
Prior to commencing the traverse we observed the descending cable car come to a halt above us where it remained stationary for some time before slowly returning to the upper cable way station.
We assumed this was as a result of load shedding.
Fortunately it was running normally by the time that we reached the upper cable way station at 12.30 and we were able to use it to descend without any undue delay.
