This traverse was first climbed by G.F. Travers-Jackson and H.W. Wright on 5 November 1899.
Our party of 13 met on Tafelberg Road at 7am and walked up to the Upper Contour Path where we turned left in the direct of Devil,s Peak.
We then branched off at Union Ravine before entering Yellowstone Gully and proceeding up to the spectacular traverse.
The traverse involved some very narrow cave passages and big drop offs which proved challenging for some but was completed by all in fine style.
After the completion of the traverse 7 of the party elected to descend via India Venster with the remaining 7 proceeding to the Upper Cable way Station and descending via Cable way.
Owing to the long queue at the top the India Venster group were first back at the cars.
All were however down by 12.30.
