Attendees were kept in the cloud, literally, until the Kramat parking for Lions Head where we all emerged above a beautiful cloud inversion over the city with Lions Head bathed in sunshine.
After a meet and greet the 14 climbers, including visitors from Johannesburg Bennie de Wet, Melicia Wasserman and MCSA president Paul Carstensen, hiked up the hill to the tea cave.
Experience varied from never having climbed outside before to extremely experienced after decades of climbing. The weather was perfect and each team climbed a long multi pitch with most parties choosing to climb to the summit then hike or abseil down.
Routes climbed were White Face(10), Clifton Crest(15) then White Face, Beware the Dark Horse(18), Rainbow Crag(13) and Cubs Cuff(15).
After an extremely pleasant day, happy climbers headed home.
Thanks to all for joining in to enjoy trad climbing.
Especially to the leaders Henk Engelbrecht, Werner van Dyk, Justine Cole and Roger Diamond.
