We started walking at 08h00 from East Fort on Chapmans Peak Drive, up the East Fort / Constantia Nek path but turned off onto Alfie’s Track just below the main cliffs to join Blackburn Ravine, at the top of which we had tea with a lovely view of the Bay and surrounding mountains.
From there we climbed Constantiaberg then took the Arial ‘service road’ down to join the East Fort / Constantia Nek path, with lunch on stream … before descending back down to the cars at East Fort by just after 14h00.
Along the service road we looked out for invasive alien vegetation and were plesantly surprized to find very little … just two patches of relatively small Port Jacksons one of which should signs of having been herbicided before, but both need follow up as PJs need to be pulled out or herbicided.
