We were treated to a windless day of hiking up this scenic route following the north facing ridges on Constantiaberg. The route is off-path and offers a variety of steep slope slogging and easy rock scrambling. We stopped for tea at a relatively early hour to soak in the views and also ensure that we would be able to fit in a lunch stop before descending Blackburn Ravine. After visiting the beacons on top we descended down the south side and found a scenic lunch spot before reaching the main descent path. The 9 of us were back at our cars by mid-afternoon.
