Meet Reports 2 September 2018 Tiny Tots

The Tiny Tots Meet at Cape Point on 2 September 2018 was a great hit with the toddlers. Highlights of the 5km coastal walk from Olifantsbos to the inland, past Sirkelsvlei, included visiting the two shipwrecks (pirate ships no doubt), sliding down the dunes and clambering across huge bones on the beach (either that of a monster or, less likely, a whale).

The moms and dads in tow were ready with snacks to coax the little ones on, and ready with sacks to keep the overflow shells and other treasure discovered along the way. Lunch allowed enough time to open some new V-minus-1 boulder problems.

Confirmation of a great day out was when a certain, very sleepy, tiny tot exclaimed from the rear of the car on the way home that “next weekend I want to do exactly the same shipwreck wreck hike as today with my new Mountain Club friends!” Look out for the next Tiny Tots Meet and join us.
