A group of nine started at 7 am from Kloof Nek parking, hiked along the pipe track and followed the Diagonal Route for a short while before turning left into the proper Blind Gully section. Two third of the way up, we explored the area around Blinkwater Needle and found a windless spot for a perfect tea break. From there we took the traverse up to the top, enjoying the B-grade rock pitches and magnificent views into Blinkwater Ravine and beyond. The wind was calm on top of the mountain. We quickly made our way along Apostles Path, visited Walla Walla Cave, and added an explorative detour into Valken Labyrinth, before we walked down Diagonal and back to Kloof Nek.
Thank you everyone for yet another great day on the mountain. Thank you for your support, your enthusiasm and for all the fun we had.
