Six of us set off in perfect weather from Kirstenbosch. On reaching the start of the scramble, the tough group were ready to tackle it.
The river flow was brisk and added to the fun and excitement of the challenge, which we all enjoyed.
We stopped to take in the setting, of the small irrigation pool on the way, and, after reaching the contour, decided to continue up. When we could not go any further, we stopped for tea. Retraced our way back to the contour path and inspected a waterfall before reaching Kirstenbosch.
Half of us, enjoyed our tea and scones special at Fynkos restaurant. Besides two left shins bleeding from same spot on different people all went well.
Richard lost his glasses but assured me that his wife would be very happy as she had been nagging him unsuccessfully to get a new pair.
