The weather gods smiled on our excursion in the Kalk Bay mountains, giving us perfect temperatures and an almost dry day. A good turnout set off from Boyes Drive, up Echo Valley to Weary Willy’s where we branched off towards Spes Bona Valley. After the short bushy section and scrambles, we had tea before tackling the Ridge Peak chimney, then proceeded to the summit over easy terrain.
Rejoining well travelled paths, it was a short step to Kalk Bay peak and the viewpoint over False Bay. Second tea was taken before starting our descent amid displays of Syncarpha and Dilatris flowers.
It goes without saying that the social aspect was well exercised and enjoyed by all.
