A group of 16 met outside Ryterplaats at 7:00am in best weather conditions. We went up Llandudno Buttress and enjoyed the views on top during a first breakfast break.
From there we continued to Grootkop and accessed the faint path leading to Yellowwood Traverse. Another break and some cave exploration later, we happily scrambled up the “B”route on the Northern side of Grootkop, enjoying another cave system and numerous fun scrambles.
After lunch on Grootkop Peak we started walking back. One part of the group preferred going down Llandudno Ravine, the other part chose the Buttress version. Both parts rejoined shortly before reaching the cars at 2:00pm.
