Fifteen of set off on a drizzly morning for Oudekraal Ravine. Heavy cloud hung over the mountains above us. The air was still. Water dripped from luxuriant fynbos. Small white flowers luminesced in the mist. Many in our group commented on the delight of experiencing nature in yet another of its many moods. Volunteer groups have done an excellent job of clearing the path that leads from the bottom of Corridor Ravine to Oudekraal Ravine which used to be very overgrown. The ravine itself has also received attention. Well done to them. We had tea at the top of the ravine but the usual views were obscured by the hazy conditions. An easy walk took us along the apostle path to the top of Corridor Ravine where we descended. Four of us decided to have lunch at the overhang overlooking Slangolie Ravine while the rest of the group opted to head home.
