An early-ish start from the Rontree Trail head above Camps Bay allowed us to ascend to the cliff line in relative coolth starting with Porcupine Buttress followed by Jubilee, Barrier, Valken, Kasteels and then Postern Butress where Dennis led us on a fun scramble up the Buttress as planned, rather than travering along Wood Buttress (as done on the normal Seven Buttresses Route). After an early ‘lunch’ at the top near Rondevoux Cave, we returned via the Apostle Ridge path and down Kasteelspoort back to the cars.
