The ridges were our playground for a couple of hours. We ascended via the north facing slope of Constantiaberg to escape the sun as it was destined to be a very hot day. A slight breeze was encountered higher up, but as the one photo portrays, shade was a welcome refuge from the heat!
AirBnB has interesting rock features and another visit just to explore all the cracks and passages is required.
After a leisurely tea break we made our way to Blockbuster Ridge, admiring the aloes along the way. The two ridges are higher than Skoorsteenberg and provide far reaching views.
As the heat had set in we did not linger on the ridge and made our way down to the shade of an indigenous forest 1.5km from the end where we stopped for a quick lunch. We were back at the cars by 2pm.
