The morning was perfect for a hike! It was cool and slightly overcast, but warm enough that we didn’t need to pack many layers.
We met at the Cecelia car park, made sure the kids had enough snacks, and then headed up the jeep track. It was a brisk walk, with the kids keeping a strong pace. After turning off the jeep track, we started up the stairs, which was a bit more strenuous, but the happy chatter continued.
We were fortunate to find plenty of water at the waterfall, which made for a lovely snack stop where we stayed for a good while. The hike down offered beautiful views towards Kirstenbosch and the reservoir. Finally, we followed the stream back to the car park.
