Ten members set out from Theresa Avenue, Camps Bay at 07h00 in near perfect hiking conditions. After an easy paced scramble via the Diagonal path,we took a beverage break at the Blinkwater Needle around 09h00. Six of the party climbed the Needle before we set out for the top.
We had a medium paced ascent to allow the spectacular views to be savoured, especially by the visitor and others who hadn’t the route before.
We enjoyed a relaxed walk via Valley of the Red Gods and Rendezvous cave to stop for lunch after scrambling up to the yellowwoods at the top of Postern.
We descended via Woody Ravine and were back at cars around 14h30.
