Ten members booked on the meet but three canceled due to
illness/injury. The remaining seven met at the Kloof Nek car park and set
off along the Pipe Track in dry windless conditions.
After ascending the Blinkwater Path for some twenty minutes one of the
party felt ill and was escorted back to her car by another member.
The remaining five pressed on and it was then that the weather changed
and it started to rain (The majority of weather forecasts predicted
little or no rain).
The route up the Ravine was very slippery in places and great care had
to be taken.
The remainder of the party, looking a bit like drowned rats, got safely to
the top of the ravine and made their way to the cable way station where
they were relieved to discover that it was still running despite the bad weather and
absence of visitors.
All were back at their cars by 12.45pm.
