The venue was changed from Ledges to Hout Bay Corner in view of the extremely high winds that were experienced that day.
This C route was first climbed by A. G .S .Black and K. Cameron on 27/5/1923
The party of 10 met at 8 am at Ruyterplaats Estate and followed the path to Llandudno Ravine, branching off at the skyline to commence the Hout Bay Corner route
A rope was used on the first C pitch and the chockstone pitch, which is also graded C
The party were at the summit a little after 11 and after a brief stop proceeded in the direction of Llandudno Ravine for the descent when one of the party fell, injuring a rib and both legs.
Fortunately, he was able to walk off the mountain, albeit slowly, and everyone was back at the cars a little after 2.
